Our REVIVE MAX follows her slimmer sister and now comes as a 2.0 with 213mm of infinitely adjustable travel.
Same as the REVIVE one year ago, the REVIVE MAX 2.0 213 receives the 2.0 feature, such as:
- 3D forged, one-piece upper tube design for increase stiffness

REVIVE MAX is nothing less than a dedicated 34.9 derivate of our regular 30.9/31.6 REVIVES for bikes with the bigger seattubes.
Not only did the lower tube diameter increase to 34.9, but also did the stanchion tube grow from 25mm to 28mm. Finally there is a dropper that gives a stunning look in beefy seattubes while gaining strength and stiffness at the same time - unrivaled by the competition.
Optimized wall thickness and materials keep the weight extremely low and so our REVIVE MAX weighs in lower than some "regular" sized posts of the competition.

BikeYoke presents the REVIVE dropper post, featuring one of the most brilliant design features in dropper post design in many years.
More than 10 years of experience in drop-post design went into the “REVIVE” and the development has finally paid off.
Of course, just as many other companies, BikeYoke would say, that REVIVE is reliable and strong and smooth…
And yes, REVIVE is all of that, but not because we tried to improve current designs, but because we were thinking outside of the box and created a new concept, that is completely different from everything before.
To understand the benefits over other posts you have to know about the problems of many current designs first:
Many of the popular current seatpost designs are based on a hydraulic lockout-system that relies on a perfectly sealing IFP (Internal Floating Piston), separating oil from air to prevent the seatpost from getting sagging or bouncing. There are a lot of difficulties to overcome when using an IFP, because an IFP has to maintain 100% sealing function. If air could go to the oil side, your post will start becoming springy. This happens to a lot of posts in the market already and is the main issue why posts need to be serviced.
That´s why BikeYoke´s “REVIVE” features a NON-IFP design, because we think it is too difficult - if not impossible - to make a really reliable design using an IFP.
REVIVE only requires 2 dynamic seals in the hydraulic circuit: The shaft sealing and the main piston sealing for the lockout mechanism.
The highly critical IFP has been removed, and with it the need of perfect concentricity and finish of the sealing surfaces of the tubes.
The lack of an IFP also results in the smoothest action you can think of.
The most important and ground-breaking feature of Revive is its “REVIVE-VALVE”.
Even REVIVE can get air somewhere where it does not belong. This can happen for example when you actuate your seatpost while its upside down.
And here is where the patented RESET VALVE comes into play:
Insert a 4mm Hex Key into the REVIVE hex port, turn it and push down the post by hand.
This will reset your hydraulic circuit on the fly - whenever, wherever. This is done just within a few seconds and only by the turn of a 4mm Allen key or the integrated mini reset lever, that comes with the post - of course without even having to remove your drop post from your bike.
So, now one might already understand that:
- No external air will want go inside the post´s hydraulic circuit, since it is charged with higher pressure, than its surroundings.
- No oil will go out (or at least very very little oil over the course of a long time), because of very stable sealing - external sealing has never been a real problem of current post design
- The hydraulic system can be reset to “new” via the unique “REVIVE-valving”
Still there are parts that will need to be serviced sooner or later and when designing REVIVE, it was put a lot of attention to maximum user-friendly serviceability:
Bushings and keyway pins will wear over time. Usually, the pins wear first and you would want to replace them to reset your rotational play.
Exchanging the pins and the lower bushing is simple and does not require any opening of the hydraulic system and can be done within less than 5 minutes.
Here is how you do a full service:
- 1x REVIVE MAX 213 seatpost
- 1x cable housing 1600mm
- 1x inner wire 1800mm
- 2x housing endcap
- 1x barrel cable clamp
- 1x air valve adapter
- 1x Quick-Reset-Lever
- 1x remote (optional)
- 1x BikeYoke I-spec adapter or Splits Clamp (optional)
- 1 set titanium saddle bolts and nuts (optional)
Generally, one of our Triggy remotes should be first choice.
Only, if you already have a shifter or another remote on your handlebar left side you may need to go with our 2X Remote remote, which can be mounted left or right side and is a "push-down" style remote.
For Triggy there are a couple of variants to choose from:
- Triggy - the classic one
- Triggy Alpha - our top-end remote with ball bearing and angle adjustment - available ins two paddle lengths short and long
Triggy and Triggy Alpha short give a more crisp and direct lever feel, which we prefer for the REVIVE series.
Triggy Alpha long provides a softer lever feel.
Only for posts of the DIVINE family (which have higher operating pressures) we recommend the longer Triggy Alpha long - the choice is yours though. All our remotes will work with all of our posts.

Triggys are alway mounted left side under the handlebar, similar to your derailleur shifter on the right side.
You can mount them via our BikeYoke Splits clamp on the handlebar or you can bolt them directly to your brake lever with a small adapter to save the extra clamp and keep your cockpit clean.

For Shimano brakes we offer our own BikeYoke I-Spec adapters and for other brands you will find adapters from your brake manufacturer directly.
Just as every high-performance bicycle component, your BikeYoke dropper requires regular and periodic maintenance. It is important to follow our maintenance and service intervals, to ensure proper function throughout the lifetime of your post.

FAQ's
↴ Is there a weight limit on the REVIVE MAX dropper post?
Our REVIVE MAX has a maximum rider weight limit (fully equipped) of 115kg.
↴ Can I use other remotes than BikeYoke?
All our posts work with any other dropper remote as long as it allows clamping the wire on the remote end. To provide full return speed and smooth drop feel, your remote should have a least 10mm of cable pull for REVIVE, REVIVE MAX and DIVINE and at least 5mm of cable pull for DIVINE SL and Rascal.
↴ Can I mount saddles with carbon rails and/or high-oval rails to my post?
Our DIVINE and REVIVE droppers are compatible with standard 7x7mm and oval rails 7x9mm made from carbon or alloys.
↴ How often do I need to use the reset-function of REVIVE MAX?
Use your reset function only, if your post starts to get springy. Also you should reset your post after you first receive it or after first installation.
↴ Can I lift my bike on the saddle, or will anything inside the post get damaged, when I pull on the saddle?
Lifting the bike by the saddle is usually no problem. Your REVIVE dropper will be OK because you can reset the hydraulic circuit if necessary.
↴ Can I clamp my BikeYoke seatpost in the assembly stand?
We recommend to clamp only the lower tube unit with care.
↴ Will you have spare parts for REVIVE MAX?
We will have all important spare parts available in our online shop and at our distributors.
↴ Can I convert my post to another seatpost diameter?
A conversion between 30.9 and 31.6 mm is possible. Conversions to 34.9 mm are not feasible due to the thicker upper part.
↴ Is there anything I need to consider when lowering my post?
Always push the seatpost for lowering in the longitudinal direction to the seat tube. Before pushing the remote lever, briefly relieve the seatpost of your body weight.
↴ For what purposes are BikeYoke seatposts suitable?
With BikeYoke seatposts you can equip any bike, whether gravel, mountain or e-bike.
↴ What do I have to consider when installing the saddle?
Tighten the two saddle clamping screws to the specified torque (7Nm). IMPORTANT: The clamping screws must not be greased, as this leads to increased load.
↴ Can I use lifts with my BikeYoke seatpost?
We generally advise against the use of t-bar lifts. In addition to the obvious danger of scratching the coating of the post, the countless different lift variants lead to incalculable loads on the post, which can lead to possible late effects. Any use of our seatposts on t-bar lifts is expressly at the user's own risk and invalidates the warranty.
TROUBLESHOOTING
↴ My post slightly compresses, when I am pushing on it.
This movement is absolutely normal and harmless, and can be up to 1-3mm.
↴ My seatpost has lateral play. Is this normal?
To achieve a soft response, dropper seatposts from all manufacturers have minimal play. This lateral play is completely normal and harmless.
↴ My remote lever is difficult or impossible to operate.
Strong temperature fluctuations can lead to increased pressure in the seatpost and block the mechanics. Perform a reset of the support. ATTENTION: Use a 4mm Allen key instead of the reset lever, as increased forces are necessary for resetting due to the internal pressure. After riding with low outside temperature, park your bike with the seatpost slightly lowered after the ride.
↴ I did a hydraulic reset, but my post still has vertical play.
In rare cases, a lot of air can get inside the inner chamber, and/ or the oil is foamed. Multiple resets will help solve this problem. Give the post a few minutes between each reset procedure for the oil to settle down.
↴ My remote does not return, after pushing it
This is most likely due to one of the following reasons: The linkage at the bottom of the post is dirty or not properly greased/lubricated. Over some time, bikes can collect dirt and mud inside the frame from washing or riding in the dirt. This mud can get to the leverage mechanism, when having the bike upside down (for example after washing). Cleaning and re-greasing the mechanism should solve this. If you ofter washyour bike, using a lot of water, it is recommended to remove the seatpost after washing, so you can get rid of excessive water and mud through the open seattube. Not only will your post benefit from this, but also your frame bearings and your bottom bracket bearings. Always give your bike some time to thoroughly dry after washing. The air pressure is not correct. The usual operating air pressure of the REVIVE is around 220-250psi. Less pressure inside the air chamber, does not only mean slower return speed, but also less return pressure for the push rod, that retracts the leverage unit. Rest the post and fully extend it. Then wait a few minutes, before you pump the post to 250psi - as described in your manual always in upright position and using a shock pump with a double-step valve, to avoid air loss when detaching the pump. In rare cases the valve core (valve insert) might have gotten a little bit loose after the first couple of rides rides, resulting in very subtle air loss over weeks or months. Use a valve key to torque the schrader valve core to the correct 0,5Nm for proper sealing function.
↴ My post returns very slow, especially right before top-out, although pressure is set correctly.
Check your seat collar. Some seat collar squeeze the seattube very unevenly, which can result in uneven deformation of the seattube and seatpost. Use the torque on your seat collar as low as possible, just so that your post does not slip inside the seattube, but in any case do not tighten with more than 5Nm.
↴ My post feels a little sticky. Does it need a service?
Your post does not necessarily need a service because of this. Sometimes it is just the small foam ring at the bottom of the seatpost inside the lower tube. This foam ring is a dirt and dust protection, that covers small holes in the bottom of the post. Those holes allow the post to breath during dropping and extending. If the foam is soaked with oil/water/grease, it may clog the holes and make the post feel sticky during extending and harder to compress, because air cannot get in and out fast enough. That being said, too much greaseing during a service (and assembly) is not always the best thing to do. If you remove the big circlip at the bottom of the post you can slide up the lower tube and you will see the small foam ring. After cleaning this ring and reassembly, your post should work as smoothly as it used to do.
↴ My seatpost drops automatically when loaded or extends automatically without load.
- In individual cases, the cable housingv may not be correctly seated in the seatpost foot, thus increasing the tennsion. Remove the seatpost and insert the end cap correctly into the actuator foot.
- If point 1 is not the case, check the tension and reduce it by turning the tensioner on the remote lever clockwise.
↴ Lowering of the post is not possible or only possible with significantly increased load.
- Tilting of the seatpost (axial load): Make sure that you lower the seatpost in line with the angle of the seat tube. If you put too much load on the rear part of the saddle, the leverage effect can cause the tubes to tilt, which impairs the smooth function of your seatpost.
- Clogged foam ring: Sometimes it is just the small foam ring at the bottom of the seatpost inside the lower tube. This foam ring is a dirt and dust protection, that covers small holes in the bottom of the post. If the foam is soaked with oil/water/grease, it may clog the holes and make the post feel sticky during extending and harder to compress, because air cannot get in and out fast enough. If you remove the big circlip at the bottom of the post you can slide up the lower tube and you will see the small foam ring. After cleaning this ring and reassembly, your post should work as smoothly as it used to do.
